Hi everyone,

This is off the back of the two senate hall threads Hidden categories in App template and "Special thanks" in media. I'm bringing this to a CT because the discussions show some varying opinions and I wanted to ensure we had consensus on the updates.

This is split in two parts addressing the two questions, both can pass or fail independently.

Grey out vs Hide

The first vote is to determine whether to update Template:Credits to show empty categories greyed out; or update Template:App and Template:OOUappearances to hide the empty categories.

Grey out empty categories (update Credits)

Special Thanks

This second vote is to determine whether Special thanks should be added to Template:Credits, . Per the consensus in the SH, articles should not be created for individuals who are ONLY noted in this section. Individuals who have an existing Wookieepedia article can be linked. If no Wookieepedia article is available but a Wikipedia article is, the wikipedia article is to be linked.

As such, Section 9. of the LG/OOU - Published narrative works will be updated to add the following sentence: "Subjects noted in the "Special Thanks" section should link to an existing Wookieepedia article if available or a Wikipedia article if no Wookieepedia article is available. Articles shall not be created for subjects exclusively noted in this section."

Oppose

  1. Special thanks should just be included in the Crew credits in same place the credits place them, no special section. I'm big on keeping the flow of the credits as much as possible. NBDani TeamFireballLogo-ColliderYeager's Repairs 13:18, 5 October 2022 (UTC)
