It has become clear that we do not have explicit guidelines on how to determine consensus in TC threads. We have fixed ratios that must be met to achieve consensus in place for CT threads like this one, as can be seen at Wookieepedia:Consensus, and I have always assumed that those ratios apply to TC threads as well. However, the closing of Forum:TC:Ahsoka Tano's shoto prompted this discussion which revealed that Wookieepedia:Consensus actually does not explicitly extend the ratios used for CT threads to the trash compactor as well. Therefore, for the purpose of consistency, I propose to add the text, "These ratios also apply to trash compactor threads as well." (without the bolding) at the end of the paragraph about consensus ratios. For those who would argue that the ratios should be repeated under the "Trash compactor" header, such a statement is already present in the second paragraph under "Consensus track". We probably should merge the TC and CT sections of the policy into a single unified set of procedures, but that can be handled at a later date; this is only about extending the consensus ratios to the TC as well. Also, per Jang's concern on Cal's talk page (linked above), this is not meant to be retroactive to the aforementioned TC thread that prompted this; that decision will remain Cal's under WP:AA. —MJ— Holocomm 05:24, February 10, 2013 (UTC)

  12. Several points can be said about this: One, I think uniformity is good, and solidifying this policy would undoubtedly help prevent confusion in the future. Second, since there was no policy, I was within my rights to archive that TC. Third, one vote was not going to make that much of a difference. However, on that same note, I do understand that we follow policy. Again, though, there was no policy, so archiving it was not disregarding any policy. Conclusion: I'm going to leave the shoto article deleted. If this does become policy, then it will be used for future TCs.
