The result of the debate was Relocate fan film articles to the Fan Wiki. 1358 (Talk) 17:49, June 12, 2012 (UTC)
I would like to suggest that our articles on fan films be merged/transferred to the Star Wars Fan Wiki, as they should and do fall under the jurisdiction/purview of that wiki. Wookieepedia's purpose is to document the Star Wars universe, not films that the fans create.
- Note: This is not a TC, because they're not being deleted—a soft redirect would be created for the articles that sends readers to the Fan Wiki. The Fan Wiki's the right place for them, and moving the articles there would ensure that the content is still accessible and in the right place.
- Note: The passing of this CT would result in WP:NFP being revised appropriately to exclude fan films.

- I would prefer that an exception be made for TROOPS because I have seen some references to it in the mainstream media, including in a recent issue of The Times, and it appears to have a far greater level of notability than the other films. --Jinzler 21:29, June 8, 2012 (UTC)

Keep the fan film articles
- I'm going to have to echo MJ here, since the official fan film winners are lumped in with this. Corellian Premier

- As far as I can tell, the only thing that MJ wants to keep is the article about the awards. Not the fan films that won said awards. Cade Calrayn

- Correct. The actual fan films can go. The specific article on the awards themselves, though, might be worth keeping. I'm not yet explicitly saying "this must be kept"; I'm just looking for other opinions right now. —MJ— Training Room Thursday, June 7, 2012, 18:06 UTC

Discussion
- What about certain films which impact canon? Doesn't this mean we're going to have a redlink in Stacy's BTS? Heck, what about TROOPS? Corellian Premier

What is and is not included in this CT? Obviously all articles that cover an individual fan film are included, but there are four pages in Category:Fan films that do not fall under that classification. They are Fan film, Star Wars fan films, The Official Star Wars Fan Film Awards, and Template:Non-canon Star Wars. The first two are an article and a list on the general topic (that should really be in one article, but that's beside the point) rather than a specific fan film, the third is an official Lucasfilm contest, and the fourth lists two official films in addition to the fan films. Which of these, if any, will remain here? —MJ— Holocomm Tuesday, June 5, 2012, 18:12 UTC
- I believe that all four fall under the Fan Wiki's purview, and as such should be moved. Soft redirects can take their places, and they can use the template for themselves. I see the issue with the third one, but I still don't think it's something that belongs on the Wook. It's a fan topic, so I believe it belongs on the Fan Wiki. Cade Calrayn

- Keep in mind that something can fall under multiple wikis' purview. My recommendation here would be to export all four to the fan wiki, but keep the official awards here since that is an official competition related to Star Wars. Should a separate vote be opened for these? —MJ— Jedi Council Chambers Tuesday, June 5, 2012, 21:55 UTC
- On a side note, the official awards have been canceled. That may or may not affect this decision. —MJ— Training Room Thursday, June 7, 2012, 22:48 UTC
