I'd like to vote and talk about some things regarding how Wookieepedia cites in-universe dates for upcoming and recently released content for Star Wars: The Old Republic.
First Proposal
For my first proposal, I'd like to decide how we're going to date SWTOR 7.8 and 7.8.1. Since they were severely delayed, I'd like to date them by their intended release dates, rather than their actual release dates. The intended release dates for 7.8 and 7.8.1's main stories were when 7.6 and 7.7 came out, respectively.
This means 7.8 and 7.8.1 would both take place in 3622 BBY, rather than across 3622 BBY and 3621 BBY, using the IRL year rule established by this forum post.
The TOR updates template would be updated for 7.8 and 7.8.1, citing sources that confirm intended release dates for the content releases, as well as this consensus track decision.
After that, we'd see how future content is released and go from there.
Second Proposal
For my second proposal, we should firmly establish how Dynamic Encounters are dated. At the moment, we've kind of just been basing them off of the previously mentioned IRL year rule. However, as pointed out by Fan26, the fact that they're accessible as soon as you can access their respective planets, and that some of them have details anchoring them to a specific time range, this method isn't the best.
As recommended by Fan26, I think we should go on a case-by-case basis for dating Dynamic Encounters. Using the content of the encounter, we'll determine a date. If nothing can help determine a date, it will be dated using the year that the planet it's on takes place in. So, for example, a dynamic encounter taking place on Tython will, by default, take place in 3643 BBY.
For citing dynamic encounter dates, a new template could be made pointing to this consensus track (if it's agreed with).
