Thank you to Imp for pointing this out! One more fix is needed! Currently, our Wookieepedia:Layout Guide says
- No additional alternate name may be listed in the name field of the infobox, with the following exceptions: the nicknames of clone troopers (e.g. "Fixer" for RC-1140) or their numerical designation if their articles are titled by their names (e.g. "CT-7567" for Rex); Chiss core names (e.g. "Thrawn" for Mitth'raw'nuruodo); Darth titles of Sith individuals (e.g. "Darth Vader" for Anakin Skywalker) or birth names for Sith individuals (e.g. "Jacen Solo" for Darth Caedus); and droid names whose nicknames are not a mere phonetic pronunciation of their name (e.g. "Red" for R5-D4). These articles may only list one such alternate name.
The proposed change, in line with current policy and how everyone has been editing the wake of the new clone naming rules, is
No additional alternate name may be listed in the name field of the infobox, with the following exceptions:
- The numerical designation of clone troopers (e.g. the infobox for Fives will feature CT-5555 written below his name) or their name if the article is titled after their number (e.g. if the clone preferred their designation, their number would be written first, with their name written below it)
- Chiss core names (e.g. "Thrawn" for Mitth'raw'nuruodo)
- Darth titles of Sith individuals (e.g. "Darth Vader" for Anakin Skywalker) or birth names for Sith individuals (e.g. "Jacen Solo" for Darth Caedus)
- Droid names whose nicknames are not a mere phonetic pronunciation of their name (e.g. "Red" for R5-D4).
These articles may only list one such alternate name.

EDIT 2: Minor change, had to remove the Fixer example since he's a whole can of worms Editoronthewiki (talk) 00:54, 7 January 2024 (UTC)

I'd like to suggest formatting the exceptions as bullet points for legibility. Like so:
No additional alternate name may be listed in the name field of the infobox, with the following exceptions:
- The numerical designation of clone troopers (e.g. the infobox for Fives will feature CT-5555 written below his name) or their name if the article is titled after their number (e.g. Fixer will be written below RC-1140 on that page's infobox)

- Yes please! :P Imperators II(Talk) 22:21, 6 January 2024 (UTC)
- Done! Editoronthewiki (talk) 22:27, 6 January 2024 (UTC)
Since I've found some evidence Fixer maybe isn't the best example to use, how should the second part of the clone example be written? Should it just be "(e.g. if Fives had preferred his number, CT-5555 would be written first, with Fives written below it)" Editoronthewiki (talk) 00:29, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
- How about "if the clone preferred their designation, their number would be written first, with their name written below it." - JMAS

- Probably best to keep it as simple as that, you're right Editoronthewiki (talk) 00:53, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
