Flashsticks were nonlethal weapons used by the Drall constabulary. The weapons cost 375 credits and emitted a bright flash of light that could blind or stun an opponent. Species that did not rely on eyesight or that could not see at all were not particularly affected by the weapon. Many users wore protective eye gear to prevent the flashes from disorienting themselves, and some used two of the devices at once.[1]
Behind the scenes
Flashsticks were first mentioned in Star Wars canon in Gadgets and Gear, a roleplaying supplementary sourcebook for the Star Wars Roleplaying series that was published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2019.[1]
