The Filordis system was located in the Inner Rim Territories' Larrin sector in grid square N-8 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Filordis system was introduced in the current Star Wars canon in "The History of Neimoidia,"[2] an article written by Mark Newbold[3] and included in the "Guide to the Galaxy" department of the fifty-second issue of the Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine[2] that was published around December 30, 2015.[4] It was then identified by name in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[5]
The Filordis system was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity via a mention in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry.[6] The system subsequently made its first appearance in The Clone Wars: Act on Instinct, a webcomic authored by Pablo Hidalgo and released on StarWars.com[7] over the span of the 2009[8]–2010[9] second season of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series.[8]
