- "Ank's a regular at the Domak Refectory. It's in the Thieves' Quarter right nearby."
- ―ND-5 to Kay Vess
The Domak Refectory was Dai Bendu refectory turned cantina that was located in Kijimi City on the planet Kijimi. It specializes in hot teas and soups during the Galactic Civil War.[1]
Description
A building in Thieves' Quarter of Kijimi City on the Mid Rim planet Kijimi. Its entrance led to a small room with a stairway which led down to the building's main room.[1]
History
The building was originally an refectory for one of the Dai Bendu monasteries in Kijimi City. After the monks disappeared, the building became a business.[1]
By 3 ABY,[2] the Domak Refectory began specializing in hot teas, soups and stew such as Kyumo stew. It had a Fathier racing betting station installed which projected races from Canto Bight. A Melitto member of the Ashiga Clan named Mehdo had a high–roller Kessel Sabacc parlor in a backroom of the refectory.[1]
In 3 ABY, Kay Vess visited the Domak Refectory when looking for the Chadra-Fan explosives expert, Ank Parako who was a regular at the cantina. A bartender at the cantina informed Vess that Parako had been forced to work at the Ashiga weapons factory on Kijimi after a job went south. After improving her relationship with the Ashiga Clan, Vess was contacted by Krisk Ashiga, daughter of the clan's queen, to meet at the Refectory. Once there Vess was introduced to Qi'ra, the leader of the Crimson Dawn syndicate. Vess learned that Krisk was planning a coup on queen Ashiga with the support of Crimson Dawn and that the group wanted Vess to free Parako from the weapons factory.[1]
During the same year, a human mercenary named Rooster Trace spent her time at the reflectory after the Galactic Empire destroyed here ship and confiscated her weapons. Kranash, a Trandoshan contract broker, operated out of the entrance of the cantina. A copy of episode 44 of the Glarnok & Yabassi holodrama and a copy of Jet Kordo's journal entry on bounty hunters had been left in the cantina. EE'zok's keycard to Crimson Dawn's vault on the planet had also been left on a loft at the reflectory.
Kay Vess took several jobs from individuals at the cantina, including from a Crimson Dawn enforcer and an arms dealer. A datapad left at the cantina gave Vess the code to unlock a gate and retrieve a stash of goods left by an individual named Venti. Vess also approached Rooster Trace about getting training with heavy weapons, however Trace refused. During the conversation, Trace disclosed her trouble with the Empire. After Vess was able to track down Trace's confiscated weapons to Tatooine, Trace decided to leave the cantina and meet Vess.
