In 1 BBY,^[2] a skirmish occurred on the planet Tatooine when a squad of stormtroopers led by JM-909 was sent to eliminate a clan of Tusken Raiders that had been stealing the squad's supplies and recover the stolen supplies as well. At least twelve stormtroopers were deployed in the squad, as well as three dewbacks. The mission failed, with the squad having lost six of its troopers to the Tusken Raiders and their supplies stolen once again. JM-909 survived the attack, however, and was nursed back to health by the hermit and Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi.^[1]
