- "Well whaddya know? A few Imperial shots happened to hit our hull. Good enough for me. End those blasted buckethead Imps."
- ―The Son-tuul Pride member
A human male member of the Son-tuul Pride criminal syndicate attended Crimson Dawn's auction of the carbonite-frozen smuggler Han Solo at the planet Jekara. He commanded the Son-tuul Pride War Cruiser Dark Syndicate, situated above the planet during the proceedings of the auction. When the rebel pilot Luke Skywalker arrived above Jekara in his X-wing starfighter, the Super Star Destroyer Executor deployed TIE fighters to pursue him. Skywalker, knowing that the criminals attending would take any excuse to fight the Galactic Empire, flew his X-wing near the Dark Syndicate, which sustained damage from the Imperial starfighters. In retaliation, the Son-tuul Pride member deployed vessels to attack the TIEs. The attack provided Skywalker with an opportunity to escape, but the Executor subsequently fired upon the Dark Syndicate, destroying the cruiser.[2]
Behind the scenes
Though unidentified, the Son-tuul Pride member appeared in the sixteenth issue of the comic series Star Wars, written by Charles Soule, illustrated by Ramon Rosanas, and published by Marvel Comics[2] on August 18, 2021.[3] The individual's appearance is based on[2] Declan Mulholland, who originally portrayed Jabba the Hutt in the 1977 film Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, in a scene that was cut.[4]
