Senate Day was a celebration held in the Senate Plaza on Coruscant. It honored democracy and unity and was celebrated with fireworks. At least one Senate Day was held[1] in 3643 BBY.[2]
History
During at least one Senate Day during the Cold War[2], fires broke out across the Senate Plaza, which caused several pruning droids to panic. Ultimately, the droids were calmed and the fires were extinguished.[3] After the celebration, maitenance droids were hijacked and used to vandalize the Senate Tower with graffiti.[4]
