Star Wars Insider 97 is the ninety-seventh issue of the Star Wars Insider magazine and the fifth issue to be published by Titan Magazines. It was released to US newsstands on October 23, 2007, and UK newsagents on October 25, 2007.

According to TFAW.com, Insider #97 was originally scheduled to be the "Special Effects" issue; however, that issue was most likely postponed until #98.[3]
While issue #97 was released in October of 2007, it is listed as the December issue on both the cover and page 7.
