Rott Mercer[2] was a cybernetic alien convict who was present on the Palwick, a prison transport, during the High Republic Era. During an escape attempt, the convict managed to disable the pilot droids who controlled the ship.[1]
Behind the scenes
Rott Mercer made their debut in the first episode of the 2024 television series, Star Wars: The Acolyte, directed by Leslye Headland,[1] before being shown in better detail in previews for the Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide.[2] They were designed by concept artist Ivan Manzella, who experimented with making them blue, though the more human-like appearance was later settled upon.[3]
