Redirecting manifolds was a technology which diverted emergency power away from a starship's deflector shield, instead channeling it directly to ship's hull repair system. It was developed by the Miyuki Trade League[1] sometime before 3 ABY[2] to provided added protection for a ship transporting valuable cargo. Merchants for Trade League were willing to sell the system for 3150 credits.[1]
In 3 ABY,[2] the scoundrel Kay Vess purchased the system from a Miyuki Trade League merchant for the Trailblazer, her EML-850 light freighter.[1]
Behind the scenes
Redirecting manifolds first appeared in the "A Pirate's Fortune" expansion for the Massive Entertainment video game Star Wars Outlaws,[1] which was released on May 15, 2025.[3] It was one of the several passive system upgrades that players could purchase for their ship in the expansion. This one specifically doubled the effectiveness of the repair system when repairing the player's hull, but the repair system no longer restores the player's shields.[1]
