Rayencourt: "I think in light of these events, Chancellor, we cannot wait for a full Senate vote. An external review of the Jedi must begin immediately."
Rwoh: "I can assure you, while this is a terrible tragedy, it was the work of one flawed man."
Drellik: "And where is Master Sol now?"
Rwoh: "He was found dead on Brendok. At the scene of his original crime."

Veeth Drellik was a Tarsunt Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic during the High Republic Era. In 132 BBY, he was informed by Senator Worus Rayencourt of the Jedi Order's lack of transparency surrounding an internal murder investigation led by Jedi Master Vernestra Rwoh. Rwoh was later called before a Senate tribunal in the Jedi Diplomatic Tower led by Drellik to provide an update on the investigation but lied to them, claiming that a Jedi Master named Sol had gone rogue and committed the murders before ending his own life.

Biography

"I have reported your lack of transparency to Chancellor Drellik. He may invite you to a Senate tribunal for an update. I hope for your sake, you have this suspect in custody by then."

Drellik called a tribunal over Worus Rayncourt's concerns.

Veeth Drellik[3] was a Tarsunt who served as Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic[1] during the later years of the High Republic Era[2] at a time when the galaxy was blossoming with promise.[4] Under his watchful leadership, representatives from all corners of the galaxy served in[2] an impressive[4] Galactic Senate as the Republic blossomed.[2]

In 132 BBY,[5] Senator Worus Rayencourt[3] learned that the Jedi Order was investigating a murder internally without informing the Republic, playing in to his wishes for it to be externally reviewed.[1] Rayencourt reported the Order's lack of transparency to Drellik before confronting Jedi Master Vernestra Rwoh, who was leading the investigation, and informing[1] her[6] that the chancellor may summon her to a tribunal for an update on the investigation. After the investigation had concluded,[1] Drellik convened a formal tribunal in the Jedi Diplomatic Tower on[3] the Republic capital[6] Coruscant to review the situation[1] and summoned Rwoh to give a report. The Jedi reported that Jedi Master Sol had gone rogue and killed three other Jedi in order to cover up the four's involvement in the destruction of a Force cult on the planet Brendok sixteen years earlier. However, this was a lie,[1] as the three other Jedi had been killed by the assassin Mae-ho Aniseya[7][8] and her Sith Master, the individual known as the Stranger.[9]

Vernestra Rwoh stands at the end of a long conference table, with senators stood along each side staring at her. At the opposite end of the table, Veeth Drellik stands in a blue robe with his hands clasped.

Drellik heard from Vernestra Rwoh at the Senate tribunal and was satisfied with her report.

Upon hearing the report, Rayencourt pushed for an external review of the Jedi to begin immediately, claiming there was no time for a full Senate vote, but Drellik questioned Rwoh further and asked what had become of Sol. Rwoh then reported that they had found Sol dead on Brendok and claimed that he had ended his own life, although in truth Sol's former Padawan Verosha Aniseya had murdered him.[1] Drellik was satisfied with this conclusion.[4]

Personality and traits

Drellik gave the benefit of the doubt to the Jedi Order, coming to rely on Rwoh's candor, but was willing to give time to Rayencourt's concerns.[3] An elegant individual,[4] he had black eyes, brown skin, and graying brown fur, dying his beard to look more youthful.[3] He stood 1.63 meters tall.[2]

Equipment

At the Senate tribunal, Drellik wore a blue robe with golden detailing and a high collar.[1] He also had an orthoclase signet of office on his left middle finger.[3]

Behind the scenes

Drellik appeared in "The Acolyte,"[1] the eighth episode of the Disney+ live-action series of the same name, which aired on July 16, 2024.[10] He was performed by Tom Wilton.[1] Drellik's first name was revealed to be Veeth in the 2025 reference book Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[3]
