- «Can you give me more magnification?»
«Sadly, no. This is the full stretch of Kilji capabilities.» - ―Captain Clarr'os'culry and Jixtus on the multiscreen
The multiscreen was a device that displayed recordings on several screens with poor magnification. It was used by the Kilji species' government, the Kilji Illumine.[1] In 18 BBY,[2] Generalirius Nakirre, the leader of the Illumine, had a multiscreen in a meeting room aboard his Kilji war cruiser, the Whetstone.[1]
During Chiss Captain Clarr'os'culry's visit to the cruiser, Nakirre's Grysk ally "Jixtus" used the multiscreen to display recordings of Chiss light cruisers and other vessels attacking the freighter Saltbarrel. As the recordings were displayed with little magnification in the multiscreen, the captain bought the recordings and brought them to Patriarch Clarr'ivl'exow of the Chiss Clarr family in an attempt to study the ships properly.[1]
Behind the scenes
The multiscreen appeared in the 2021 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil, the last volume in Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy by author Timothy Zahn.[1]
