Unidentified junk shop (Kijimi City)

A junk shop was located between Kijimi Spaceport and Kijimiko Square in Kijimi City on the Mid Rim planet Kijimi. It had been closed by 3 ABY. During which it contained a keycard belonging to a Melitto named Mehdo and a stash of items of an individual named Ilario.

Description

A junk shop was located between Kijimi Spaceport and Kijimiko Square in Kijimi City on the Mid Rim planet Kijimi. It consisted of a rectangular building with a circular door which lead in from the street into a room with a central counter. A door to the left of the counter led elsewhere in the building.^[2]

History

The shop had been closed^[2] sometime before 3 ABY.^[1] By 3 ABY,^[1] a keycard belonging to the Melitto Mehdo, which unlocked the Ashiga Clan's vault on Kijimi, had been stashed at the junk shop sometime after Mehdo lost it while gambling. The Clan later learned of the keycard's location and stored the information in a terminal near the vault in the Ashiga Clan District of the city; however the Clan had not retrieved it by 3 ABY. By the same year, an individual named Ilario stashed a number of items in a container at the old shop, and a power switch outside the building was able to be tripped to power and open the shop's door. ^[2]

This section of the article assumes 100% game completion of Star Wars Outlaws. Any alternate stories may be noted in the "Behind the scenes" section. The events in this section may or may not have been confirmed as canon.

In 3 ABY,^[1] a thief named Kay Vess accessed the terminal near the vault and learned of the keycard's location. She later travel to the junk shop and with the help of her Nix, her Merqaal companion, who flipped the building's power switch entered the shop took the items Ilario had stashed as well as Mehdo's keycard. She later used the keycard along with two others to unlock the clan's vault and steal a number of credits as well as the materials required to apply a "Kijimi explorer" paint scheme to her speeder bike and her EML-850 light freighter.^[2]

Behind the scenes

The junk shop appeared in the 2024 video game Star Wars Outlaws developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. The building is identified as a junk shop by the game's "Ashiga Clan Vault Treasure" intel quest which direct the player to Mehdo's keycard. In the game the contents of Ilario's stash are randomized as such the canonical contents have not been established.^[2]
