"Really, sleemo? You're telling me these droids just started robbing vaults on their own?"
"Honest, officer. I don't know what you're talking about."
"He's pulling your tendril, Yabassi. That's an expensive looking jacket for an average droidsmith"
―Yabassi and Glarnok interviewing a droid smith[2]

Glarnok & Yabassi was a fictional holodrama on air during the Galactic Civil War that featured the detectives Glarnok and Yabassi in the Coruscant Police Department.

Description

The holodrama had two main characters—Glarnok and Yabassi—as well as Mayor Frudeki and an announcer that would catch viewers up on the events of the prior episodes. Its logo depicted the Aurebesh letters C.P.D. above three stars and below a mostly covered Republic crest. The series aired at least forty five episodes[2] by 3 ABY.[1]

Episodes

Forty three

In the recap before the forty third episode, Yabassi and Glarnok interview a droidsmith about droids robbing vaults. Glarnok noted that the droidsmith was wearing an expensive looking jacket that an average droidsmith couldn't afford. The droidsmith responded that it was fake and that they bought it on level 1420. Skeptical, Glarnok informed the droidsmith that they were going to take him to the station just as an assassin droid activates.[2]

Forty four

In the recap before the forty four episode, Yabassi visits Glarnok while they are being healed with bacta noted that they needed help with the case. Yabassi traced the blaster to a shop on level 1420 but there were no records of that ship existing. Glarnok stated it had to be a mistake but Yabassi pointed out that the revisions were signed by Mayor Frudeki himself.[2]

Forty five

In the recap before the forty five episode, Yabassi and Glarnok confront Mayor Frudeki putting him under arrest for fraud and murder. Frudeki tried to escape while pledging their allegiance for the Alliance to Restore the Republic. To which Glarnok calls Frudeki a traitor.[2]

Behind the scenes

Glarnok & Yabassi first appeared via audio in the 2024 video game Star Wars Outlaws, developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft.[2]
