«Speed you can count on. The Gyrodyne[sic] E-410 sublight engine.»
―An advert for the E-410 played on board the Morenia — 20?cb=20250116042720 ▶️ (file info)[1]

The E-410 sublight engine was a gray model of sublight engine manufactured by Girodyne. Upgrading an EML-850 light freighter previously equipped with the slower E-310 sublight engines to E-410s cost two thousand credits and required a X-FP-C28 ship computer, twenty units of quadanium, and eight enhanced durasteel hulls.[1] In 3 ABY,[2] a Huttese advert for the engine was played over the speakers of the casino cruiser Morenia, claiming that they provided speed that you could count on.[1]

That year,[2] the thief Kay Vess paid for the services of a starship mechanic to upgrade her EML-850 light freighter Trailblazer's E-310 engines to E-410 sublight engines, providing the necessary parts.[1]

Behind the scenes

E-410 sublight engines appeared in the 2024 Massive Entertainment video game, Star Wars Outlaws. Upgrading the Trailblazer with E-410 engines is required for the "Might want to buckle up" achievement.[1]
