The Binog Mesa was a grassy mesa on the Outer Rim Territories planet Bogano that shared its name with the amphi-mammalian binog species. The mesa was visited by Jedi Master Eno Cordova and by fugitive Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis years after. Cordova's discovery of a mural of a binog as drawn by the ancient Zeffonian species led him to believe that the binog was the reason why the Zeffonians had built their vault on Bogano. When Kestis was present on the mesa, he discovered the same mural and witnessed a nearby binog.
Description
Splox and Bog rats on the Binog Mesa
Located on the[1] Outer Rim Territories[2] planet Bogano, the Binog Mesa was a grass-filled mesa that shared its name with the amphi-mammalian binog species. It was bordered by the Fractured Plain and Great Divide regions. It contained short[1] white limestone and red clay[3] cliffs with hanging vegetation off the sides and slopes between the flat areas of grass. A massive sinkhole led down into the Subterranean Refuge, an area of caves. The location was inhabited by binogs as well as the insectile splox, quadrupedal bog rats, and furry boglings.[1]
History
Long before the Imperial Era, members of the Zeffonian species drew a mural of a binog on the side of one of the Binog Mesa's cliffs.[1] By 14 BBY,[4] Jedi Master Eno Cordova, who had settled on Bogano, traveled to the mesa, where he discovered the Zeffonian's mural. He theorized that the presence of the binog was the reason why the Zeffonians built the Bogano Vault on the planet.[1] In 14 BBY,[4] during his secret mission to rebuild the Jedi Order, the fugitive Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis journeyed to Bogano.[1]
While on Bogano, Kestis visited the Binog Mesa, where he encountered a resting binog and examined the Zeffonian binog mural. Kestis obtained the necessary material for the "Pathfinder" outfit from a crate within a narrow crevasse, and fought several splox and bog rats to retrieve it. He also used the Force power of psychometry in order to discover the events that led to the death of a splox within the region.[1]

Gabe Yeganyan's concept drawing of the Binog Mesa and its surrounding area
The Binog Mesa appeared in the 2019 video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, developed by Respawn Entertainment.[1] Concept art of the region was drawn by artist Gabe Yeganyan and depicted the area as much smaller in size than its final game version.[5]
