"We just embarrassed the Empire—I wouldn't be surprised if they threw a dragnet over this entire region."
―Arhul Narra, to Luke Skywalker[2]

Arhul Narra[5] was a male human pilot who served in the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. Following the Battle of Yavin, Commander Narra was tasked by Alliance High Command to lead Red Squadron. Upon his taking command, Narra asked Lieutenant Luke Skywalker and Wedge Antilles to continue to fly with Red Squadron but made it clear that neither of them should expect special treatment after destroying and surviving the Death Star.[2]

Sometime later, Narra led Red Squadron during a battle between the Rebel Alliance and Darth Vader in his TIE Advanced over the planet Vrogas Vas.[3] In a message to General Jan Dodonna following the battle, Narra admitted defeat in the battle and stated it was one of the worst cullings of starfighter pilots he had ever seen.[6]

Around 3 ABY,[1] while the Alliance were at Echo Base on Hoth, Narra was killed in an Imperial ambush along with many other members of Red Squadron.[7]

Notes and references

  1. 1.0 1.1 1.2 Star Wars Helmet Collection: C-3PO Databank A-Z: Wedge Antilles–Azmorigan states that Arhul Narra died while Luke Skywalker and Wedge Antilles were at Echo Base on Hoth. Star Wars: Timelines dates the Battle of Hoth to 3 ABY, and Lost Stars states that the base was inhabited for less than a month before the battle, so Narra's death must have occurred around 3 ABY.
