"Envoys from the Imperial Galactic Bank have been deployed to Akiva to perform a full audit and collect taxes. The Akivan Satrap states they are cooperating with Imperial procedure and expects everything to be in order."
―Dorna Parros, HoloNet News — 20?cb=20250116042720 ▶️ (file info)[1]

The Imperial Galactic Bank was a bank associated with the Galactic Empire during its reign.[1] Before 3 ABY[2] the human Riko Vess built up a reputation as a skilled slicer after inflicting various secure networks including that of the Imperial Galactic bank.[1]

In 3 ABY,[2] the bank sent envoys to the planet Akiva to perform a full audit and collect taxes from its citizens, who were ruled by a Satrap. Around the same time, the bank reported another surge of investors had contributed to contruction projects on[1] the planet[3] Hosnian Prime, triggering increased demand for housing developments in the southern hemisphere of[1] the planet[3] Coruscant. Both of these stories were covered in separate broadcasts of the HoloNet News by reporter Dorna Parros, who, for the former, provided a statement from the Satrapy claiming that they expected everything to be in order as they had cooperated with Imperial procedures.[1]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, the Imperial Galactic Bank was mentioned in the 2024 Massive Entertainment video game, Star Wars Outlaws.[1] The bank originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in Graveyard of Alderaan, a 1991 adventure supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game written by Bill Slavicsek and published by West End Games.[4]
