The Filata system was located in the Mid Rim Territories[1] and the Interior.[2] It was situated in grid square H-10 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Filata system was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[3] The system was listed as a reference to the Star Wars Legends continuity's celestial body Filata and its third moon, which were mentioned in Keeping the Peace, a 2015 sourcebook published by Fantasy Flight Games for use with the Star Wars: Force and Destiny roleplaying game system.[4]
