Shuttle ports[2] were facilities scattered around[1] the Free Trade sector[3] planet[4] Ferrix. They were used by the Ferrix Entry Ferry Service to transport passengers to and from the Ferrix Terminal station in Ferrix City via the company's shuttle ferries. They could accommodate at least two ferries each[1] on exterior landing pads[4] and were equipped with large antennae.[1]
One of the shuttle stations was located 2.3 kilometers away from the city and was used by spymaster Luthen Rael[1] in 5 BBY.[5] When[1] he[3] arrived on the planet to meet with local Cassian Andor, who was selling an Imperial N-S9 Starpath Unit Rael was interested in, the spy left his personal Fondor Haulcraft near the station and picked a shuttle ferry from there in order to continue his trip inconspicuously.[1]
Behind the scenes
A shuttle station first appeared in "That Would Be Me,"[1] the second episode of the first season of the Disney+ live-action television series Star Wars: Andor that was released on September 21, 2022.[6]
