Ferali was a Klatooinian who was a member of the Path of the Open Hand cult.[1] In 382 BBY,[2] Ferali was a child and lived with the Path of the Open Hand on the planet Dalna where he and the rest of the Path's Littles, including his younger sibling Eff, were looked after by Path member Marda Ro. That year, a blue honey glider had attached itself to fellow Little Simi, causing Ferali to fight for its affections alongside Little Hallisara. When Ro and the Littles went to a stand in the Dalnan city Ferdan's market to give out flowers, the glider landed on Little Jezra'lin's head, and so Ferali told Simi it was a gift freely given.[1]
Jedi Padawan Kevmo Zink visited the stand at the same time, and after he used The Force to lift a flower, Ro then took him and the rest of the littles to the site where the Path was building their flagship, the Gaze Electric, and used it as an example of clarity and freedom which she then warned Ferali and the others were traits the Jedi did not have and did not allow the Force to have since they viewed themselves as above it, which made Ferali realize why the Jedi shouldn't have lifted the flower.[1]
