The Feast of Prosperity was an annual[1] ancient event[2] that was celebrated by the Hutts[1] on the moon of Nar Shaddaa.[2] During the celebration, all Hutts were in agreement to show generosity.[1] The Purlah Soup was a dish whose origins dated back to the Feast of Prosperity. The Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs included a recipe for the Purlah Soup, as well information about the Feast of Prosperity, in his cookbook, The Ultimate Cookbook,[2] published by 35 ABY.[3]
Behind the scenes
The Feast of Prosperity was first mentioned in the 2023 Star Wars: The Ultimate Cookbook, a recipe book written by Jenn Fujikawa and Marc Sumerak.[2] The Feast of Prosperity was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity as an annual in-game event in the update 6.1.4 to the Onslaught expansion of BioWare's 2011 massively multiplayer online role-playing game, Star Wars: The Old Republic.[4]
