Eskrats were a species of rat that ran around a lot. The demolitions expert Skelly compared the pilot Kanan Jarrus and the miners of the Moonglow Polychemical company to eskrats after Jarrus showed no interest in hearing about a potential mining hazard.[1]

Behind the scenes

Eskrats were first mentioned in Millennium Falcon, a Star Wars Legends novel written by James Luceno that was published in 2008.[2] They were made canon by a mention in A New Dawn by John Jackson Miller, a novel published in 2014.[1]
