Entropy field under the jar.
An entropy field was a physical field used to place an object in suspended animation. In his personal museum onboard the star yacht First Light, the gangster Dryden Vos kept rare creatures in jars sitting upon entropy field-generating pedestals, which preserved their contents.[1]
