Em-Sevenbee was an R5 series astromech droid that served at a colony of refugees on the planet Gabredor III. After the colony's protocol droid broke down and was not replaced by[1] Tauntaza,[2] the governor of the planet, the colony began to use Em-Sevenbee to keep track of things for them.[1] Between 3 ABY and 4 ABY,[3] the Sith Lord Darth Vader traveled to the colony after he agreed to help the former handmaiden Sabé save the colony from the governor, who had begun to use the services of the Crimson Dawn criminal syndicate to consolidate her power and had neglected the people of her planet. After they arrived at the colony, the forensics droid ZED-6-7 was directed to Em-Sevenbee, and acquired data that showed that the governor had only delivered thirty-seven per cent of critical supplies that had been promised to the colony, as well as that the governor had forcibly conscripted thirty-three colonists, with none ever returning. A short time later, Em-Sevenbee accompanied Vader and ZED-6-7 to a nearby forest, and after ZED-6-7 plugged into EM-Sevenbee again and discovered that the area was suffering from a drought.[1]
