An eclipse was a type of astronomical event. During the Galactic War, a rare lunar eclipse was prophesized to reveal a location on the planet Shalyvane where the deity Kavaan was believed to have left his mark.[1] Pakuuni experienced a solar eclipse every seventy-six years, which (according to legend) revealed a hidden tomb of the first settler, which may have had hidden treasures.[2]

The Sith Lord Darth Plagueis once witnessed a total solar eclipse on a world, resulting in diffuse light in the middle of the day and natural life to act as if it were sunset.
