Eclipse

An eclipse was an astronomical event that occurred when a celestial body was temporarily obscured by another. Having witnessed one such event once on Coruscant, the Queen of Alderaan Breha Organa initially thought she was witnessing another eclipse when the Death Star obscured Alderaan's sun,^[1] before destroying the entire planet as Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin tells Princess Leia Organa Skywalker to find the hidden rebel base.^[2] The Death Star had previously created the same scenario when it obscured Jedha's sun before destroying Jedha City in a test.^[3]
