An earbud comlink,[1] or ear-comlink,[2] was a short-ranged comlink that was fitted for the user's ear. It was designed to provide unobtrusive and discreet private communication. It was often used by spies, card cheats and ambassadors. It could be programmed to initiate communication when the wearer would touch their ear, grind their teeth or click their jaw.[1]
During the Clone Wars, the bounty hunter Cato Parasitti used one to maintain contact with her accomplice, Cad Bane, during an operation at the Jedi Temple.[2]
