Durelium was a substance that was profitable for smugglers. The smuggler Platt Okeefe recommended it as a good cargo to turn a profit in the pirate Maz Kanata's Smuggler's Guide, along with meleenium, hyperbarides.[1]

Behind the scenes

Druelium was introduced into the Star Wars canon by the 2018 reference book Star Wars: Smuggler's Guide, written by Daniel Wallace.[1] It originated in the 1997 Star Wars Legends roleplaying game supplement Pirates & Privateers.[2]
