Durasteel coil

Durasteel coils were a type of starship component.[1] By 3 ABY,[2] pirates in the Khepi system modified these type of coils to constantly funnel low levels of energy to a ships repair systems in order to help survive the corrosive effects of the Sayma Nebula. A set of coils were stashed in a container in a hangar in Hauler's Keep.[1]

In 3 ABY,[2] the scoundrel Kay Vess discovered the reinforced coils and used them to upgrade the Trailblazer, her EML-850 light freighter.[1]

Behind the scenes

Durasteel coil appeared in the "A Pirate's Fortune" expansion for the Massive Entertainment video game Star Wars Outlaws,[1] which was released on May 15, 2025.[3] They were mentioned in the "Reinforced Coils" passive system upgrade that, when equipped, would repaired the player's ship over time while in combat.[1]
