Durafiber was a durable fabric used in various applications in the galaxy.[1] It could used to create EVA suits. A variant of durafiber was superstretch durafiber, used in an EVA suit worn by Lando Calrissian.[2]

In 3 ABY,[3] a stockpile of durafiber was stored at a Crimson Dawn hideout in the Boulder Forest region of Toshara, a moon in the Outer Rim Territories. During the same year, the Quarren rogue merchant Shuma sold elastic durafiber from her Sienar-Chall Utilipede Transport for 1400 credits.[1]

In 3 ABY,[3] the scoundrel Kay Vess heard about the Crimson Dawn stockpile and traveled to it after upgrading her S57 Cardinal to make a jump over a river leading to the hideout. Once there, she retrieved the fabric and used it to construct a new pouch to hold bacta vials and grenades. Vess later bought a roll of elastic durafiber from Shuma and used it to further improve her storage of bacta and grenades.[1]

Behind the scenes

Durafiber first appeared in the canon continuity in the 2018 novel Last Shot by Daniel José Older.[2] Durafiber fabric and elastic durafiber fabric were first pictured as an upgrade item in the 2024 Massive Entertainment video game Star Wars Outlaws. The player must obtain durafiber fabric in order to unlock the "Scoundrel's Pouch" upgrade, which lets them carry an extra bacta vial and grenade. Afterwards, they need to obtain the elastic durafiber fabric to unlock the "Outlaw's Pouch" and carry one more of each.[1]
