Boulder Forest was a mountainous region of Toshara, a moon located in the Outer Rim Territories. The region was located north of the town Jaunta's Hope and west of Mirogana Valley. The region was dotted with a number of rock formations, including the Fallen Mound and the Haskà Circle.[1]
By 3 ABY,[2] the Galactic Empire had constructed a wind harvester, several small outposts, including outpost 44 and outpost 62, and a comm station protected by two ground based turbolasers within the region. The area around the comm station was referred to as the Howling Strip and was located in the northern side of the Boulder Forest. By the same year, the Crimson Dawn syndicate possessed hideout located in the mountains in the south of the region. The ruins of a structure, known as Runner's Gate, was also located in the west of the Boulder Forest region.[1]
During 3 ABY,[2] the scoundrel Kay Vess raided the comm station while looking for a power generator to repair the Trailblazer, her stolen EML-850 light freighter.[1]
