Drak served during the Clone Wars as one of the many clone trooper of the Grand Army of the Republic.

A human male clone[2] of bounty hunter Jango Fett,[1] Drak[2] was born on the planet Kamino and trained to be a clone trooper.[1] Drak served in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars in a unit led by the Jedi Padawan Leh'ahnyo Vas and her Master. When Separatist forces attacked a farming village in a valley, Drak's unit was deployed to the valley to help protect the villagers. While on the ground, he spotted a young girl named Taya trying to drag her unconscious father, Tam, to safety. Drak rushed over and picked up the unconscious man, which took Taya off-balance, causing her to fall before being caught by Drak. Drak then placed Tam behind a boulder for cover before gently pushing Taya behind the boulder as well.[2]

Drak told the girl that they were there to help before unslinging his blaster rifle and opening fire on the unsuspecting battle droids. He blew apart three droids and swept the formation as the droids sprayed the area with blaster bolts. Drak continued to calmly mow down the droids, even as they marched closer and closer to the boulder. Just as they were about to be overwhelmed by the droids that were mere meters away, Jedi Padawan Leh'ahnyo Vas leaped over Drak's head and deflected a volley of blaster bolts towards the sky. Vas apologized for her late arrival as she cut down battle droids, and Drak replied that he expected her to show up after he had done all the heavy lifting. Together, Drak and Vas defeated the remaining droids, with Drak exploding the last droid's head with a pinpoint shot. Drak then proceeded to cover Vas as she checked on Taya and gave Tam medical attention as they held out until the medics arrived.[2]

Personality and traits

As a clone of the bounty hunter Jango Fett, Drak shared Fett's tan skin and height of 1.83 meters (6 ft),[1] and weighed eighty kilograms.[3] He was calm under pressure and did not flinch while fighting.[2]

Equipment

Like the other clone troopers, Drak was implanted with a behavioral modification biochip by the Kaminoan scientists to ensure that he would not resist certain orders.[1] Drak wore chipped, white clone trooper armor and sported bold, red lines on his helmet which gave it a fearsome, snarling aspect.[2] While most clone armor was made of plastoid,[4] Drak's armor was made of plasteel. He was armed with a heavy blaster rifle.[2]

Behind the scenes

Drak was mentioned in Rise of the Separatists, a roleplaying supplementary sourcebook for the Star Wars Roleplaying series that was published by Fantasy Flight Games and released in 2019.[5]
