"Desert Demons. I couldn't do anything to stop them, and they are cleaning the place out."
―Draci[1]

Draci was an individual who lived on Tatooine during the time Galactic Civil War. Sometime following the Battle of Yavin in 0 BBY, Draci served as a guard for the Darklighter cache.

Biography

"There is a civil war going on, if you hadn't noticed. Supplies and equipment are going to be in short supply for the civilian population. The Darklighters saw this coming and have been accumulating a cache of supplies to help get though these times."
―Draci[1]

Sometime following the Battle of Yavin, Draci served as the guard for the Darklighter family's cache on Tatooine. The cache was a cave used as a storage area, close to the Darklighter estate. In anticipation of supply shortages due to the Galactic Civil War, the Darklighter's relied on the cache to help get themselves through hard times.[1]

However, In 1 ABY,[2] a criminal gang known as the Desert Demons blew their way into the cache, and Draci was powerless to stop them. To root out the criminals, Draci entrusted spacers with securing the cache. Draci estimated that the spacers had only about fifteen minutes to eliminate the criminals before everything of value was looted. The spacers who were looking for a cargo smuggled from Tansarii Point Station assaulted the cave. They eliminated many Desert Demons and accessed the inventory terminals they were looking for.[1]

  2. The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
