Destruction of the Pelagia

The title of this article is conjectural. Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

The Destruction of the Pelagia was a brief battle between the New Republic troopship Pelagia and a missile, shot from the superweapon Galaxy Gun.

The battle

Having received word of impending attack by the dreaded cannon, Captain Tekba ordered a full defense of his ship, as it was incapable of escaping the missile in the ten minute time-span given.

Pelagia's complement of X-wings and defensive guns bombarded the missile the moment it exited hyperspace, but it was all for naught. The barrage failed to penetrate the missile's extensive shielding, and it hit the troopship, destroying it and killing all aboard.

Back at Byss, Palpatine reveled in yet another victory.

Behind the scenes

The Essential Atlas places the destruction of the Pelagia on the Braxant Run in grid square N-6,^[4] in the Weneen sector of the Outer Rim Territories.^[5]
