During Operation Shadow Hand,[3] a humanoid pilot[1] was the commander of Green Squadron, holding the callsign Green Leader.[2] In 10 ABY,[4] Green Leader and his squadron were located in the Ottega system, where they were bound to rendezvous with the New Republic troopship Pelagia in order to join the siege of an Imperial Galactic Rim shipyard.[1]

While Green Squadron was in the process of docking with the Pelagia, a particle disintegrator warhead was fired by Emperor Palpatine at the Pelagia from the Galaxy Gun superweapon. Green Leader and his squadron attempted to destroy the missile, but they were unable to penetrate its shields, and the warhead destroyed the Pelagia.[2]
