Desert nettles were a type of nettle. The severed heads of the nettles could be used to make E'roni tea, a beverage found on the Outer Rim planet E'ronoh that was potable to humans.[1] In 382 BBY,[2] while traveling across E'ronoh on the sail barge Amaryliss to deliver relief supplies to E'roni citizens, Jedi Knight Gella Nattai and E'roni Princess Xiri A'lbaran enjoyed servings of E'roni tea made from the heads of desert nettles.[1]

Desert nettles were mentioned in Convergence, a 2022 novel written by Zoraida Córdova as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase II.[1]
