- "Never could stomach vandalism and violence. Those were the main reasons I left the Ragtags."
- ―Demmi Wot
Demmi Wot was a Human male who lived in Coronet City on the planet Corellia during the Galactic Civil War.
Biography
- "I know an ex-Ragtag who helps me with this kind of thing. His name is Demmi Wot."
- ―Finn Shallo, to a spacer
Demmi Wot used to be a member of the Ragtags, a group of low-life thugs. However, he finally left the gang because he did not tolerate vandalism and violence. At some point, he worked with the Corellia Times journalist Finn Shallo and provided him information about the Corellian criminal groups.[1] In 1 ABY,[2] Demmi Wot and Finn Shallo accepted to help a spacer working for CorSec Lieutenant Mack Jasper. Thanks to Wot, the spacer was able to discover that the Ragtags were responsible for vandalism in the Coronet Starport.[1]
Behind the scenes
Demmi Wot was a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[3]
Demmi Wot was added to the game with the release of the "Publish 25," a.k.a. the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.[4] He was part of questline that featured the Rogue CorSec plot against the Diktat.[1] This story arc was later slightly revamped with the release of the "Publish 27," on February 15, 2006,[5] as the questline was integrated into the "Legacy Quest," the main questline in the game.[1]

Star Wars Galaxies (post-NGE) — Quest: "Coronet Starport Vandalism" on Corellia
- ↑ The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
