- "Working for the Corellia Times is the culmination of a lifelong dream. Really. I love working with stubborn reporters who think a deadline is nothing more than a suggestion. Ah yes, my lifelong dream."
- ―Finn Shallo
Finn Shallo was a Human male journalist who lived on Corellia during the Galactic Civil War.
Biography
- "Go speak with Finn Shallo. He's an editor for the Corellia Times. His writers are always doing stories about the Meatlumps."
- ―Jesseb Convorr, to a spacer
By the time following the Battle of Yavin, Finn Shallo worked in Coronet City as an editor for the Corellia Times. He was leading his own team of reporters and was known to be an expert on the Corellian terrorist and criminal organizations. During his career, he worked with Demmi Wot, an ex-member of the Ragtags who helped him find information about those criminal groups.[2]
In 1 ABY,[3] Finn Shallo agreed to help a spacer working for CorSec Lieutenant Mack Jasper and provided information about the Meatlump criminals. Thanks to Shallo, the spacer discovered that the Ragtags were responsible for vandalism in the Coronet Starport.[2]
Around the same time, Finn Shallo helped a spacer find the owner of a viewscreen with the Corellia Times logo on it retrieved from a Meatlump sublieutenant.[1]
Behind the scenes
Finn Shallo was a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[4]
Finn Shallo was added to the game with the release of the "Publish 21," on August 4, 2005.[5] He was involved in two independent questlines: "Ral Mundi's quest,"[6] and "Vani Korr's quest."[1] Ral Mundi's quest was later revamped with the release of the "Publish 27," on February 15, 2006,[7] as the quest was inserted into the "Legacy Quest," the main questline in the game.[2]

- ↑ The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
