Sometime between 10 BBY and 3 ABY,[4] a member of this species named Askroh served as a crime lord in Cloud City on the planet Bespin.[2] Later, in 34 ABY,[5] another member of this species, Defancio Storsilt, was present at Canto Casino and Racetrack on the planet Cantonica.[3]

This species first appeared in the 2017 film Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, directed by Rian Johnson.[3] They were originally designed by concept artist Ivan Manzella, and were referred to by the production code "King 2."[6] According to the Keeper of the Holocron, Leland Chee, as of April 1, 2025, this species still did not have a name within the official Holocron continuity database.[7]
