- "Yes, seduced by the dark side of the Force, Radaki was. A powerful Sith he became."
- ―Yoda
Darth Krall, originally known as Radaki,[4] was a Force-sensitive[2] Vollick.[1] A former Jedi Master of the Jedi Order, Radaki became part of what was later known as the Lost Twenty and was seduced by the dark side of the Force as a result of his belief that the Jedi should retain their family ties and wealth. Having forsaken his allegiance to the Order, he adopted the name of Darth Krall and became a powerful Sith Lord.[2]
As a Sith, Krall wore a black and red cloak and wielded a Sith lightsaber with a golden hilt.[5] Krall participated in the Battle of Wasted Years, emerged victorious, and tamed the Nightmare Conjunction. His lightsaber was stored in the Archive of Forbidden Artifacts, a Bogan Collection, at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.[2]
After Jedi Knight Keeve Trennis was infected by the Drengir, Krall appeared in her visions.[3]
Behind the scenes
Darth Krall was first mentioned in the 2019 audiobook Dooku: Jedi Lost, written by Cavan Scott.[2] The spelling of his name was given in the script of the audiobook.[4] He later debuted in a vision in the seventh issue of the comic book series Star Wars: The High Republic, written by Scott, illustrated by Georges Jeanty, and published by Marvel Comics[3] on July 28, 2021.[6] Prior to the release of the issue, Krall was first pictured in a preview of Mike Mayhew's variant cover released on social media on June 29.[5] In 2025, Scott confirmed Darth Krall's species to be the same as Osika Kirske—a Vollick—which was introduced via the Dark Horse comic book series Star Wars: Republic of the Star Wars Legends continuity.[1]
