A death trooper squad was tasked with the safe transportation of a large kyber crystal from the Jedha system for delivery to the Tonnis sector in a freighter to rendezvous with an Imperial I-class Star Destroyer under the command of Captain Slavin. The freighter was infiltrated by the rebels Saw Gerrera, Sabine Wren, Ezra Bridger, and the droid Chopper. They took control of hold six, where the crystal was being kept, forcing Commander DT-F16 to order her squad to retreat. Only DT-F16 could successfully retreat, as the rebel infiltrators subdued the rest of the squad. Saw Gerrera later sabotaged the crystal causing it to destabilize. The rebels escaped as the crystal exploded, destroying the freighter and Slavin's Star Destroyer, killing Slavin and ending DT-F16 and her squad in the process.^[1]

Other members of the squad included 3-6 and another death trooper.^[1]
