The DH-X heavy blaster rifle was a cumbersome model of long-range heavy blaster rifle that was designed to punch a hole the size of a smashball through any target within sight. The weapon had a short and squat barrel with a durasteel finish and a long, rectangular emitter nozzle. This was unusual for a heavy blaster, as most had designs with long, thin barrels. DH-Xs came standard with a buttstock made of solid composite alloy and a monocular targeting optics suite.[1]

The DH-X heavy blaster rifle was manufactured by BlasTech Industries and was one of the company's heaviest rifles, costing 1,900 credits. It was popular with mercenaries, especially with larger species such as Wookiees and Barabels who could wield the large weapon with ease. Due to its size, smaller or weaker users would attach miniature repulsor pods onto the DH-X to aid them in using it. Others mounted the weapon on a vehicle such as a speeder bike sidecar.[1]
