Smashball was a sport played in the galaxy. During the Republic Era, the fifteen-year-old human Mon Mothma discovered smashball during a winter season.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, smashball was first mentioned in Alexander Freed's novelization of the 2016 Anthology film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, smashball was first mentioned in Barbara Hambly's 1995 novel Children of the Jedi.[2]
