A Maxillipede shuttle was used by D-Squad to carry out a mission to steal an encryption module from a Providence-class Dreadnought commanded by the super tactical droid Aut-O. After the module had been stolen and the squad had departed,[1] the Maxillipede shuttle was damaged in a comet storm above Abafar, and crashed on the planet. D-Squad abandoned the destroyed ship, and headed in search of a new starship.[3]
