The cyborg mech[1] was the name given to a cyborg[3] scavenger[5] that operated on the deserted planet of Mandalore[3] in 9 ABY.[2] It piloted a Spider Tank as a vehicle to traverse the ruined landscape of Mandalore, fend off other beings and capture them for their blood. At one point, the being succeeded in ambushing and capturing the Mandalorian Din Djarin in a cage in an attempt to harvest his blood. Djarin's companion Grogu managed to evade its attack and went to Bo-Katan Kryze for help, after unsuccessfully attempting to free Djarin. The cyborg was killed by Kryze when she arrived on the planet to rescue him.[3]
Some time later, Djarin recalled his defeat by the cyborg and its own subsequent defeat by Kryze's hand to Clan Kryze, using Bo-Katan's victory as justification to return the Darksaber to her ownership under its rule of claim by combat.[6]
